The Family

What is this piece of crap I've stumbled across on channel 4 and why am I actually watching it? It's painful to watch, not because of the awkwardness of spying into 'normal family life' (and that Dad can't be 'normal' right?) No, it's more painful because I can see how it happens to people. A comfortable middle-class family, wrapped up in themselves and taking every little problem far too seriously, for example the daughter not cleaning the bath after herself. What worries me most is that in about fifteen years time I'll probably be just the same and care more about which shade of white would be best for each room of the house. If I dissappear into this mundaneness anytime soon it's been nice knowing you and I'll see you in the queue at Habitat. Fight the power.
